    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. This is a request for a Statement. Pursuant to Standing Order 44 (2)(c), I wish to request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology concerning the appointment of key public university personnel. Noting the recent repeal of law governing university management, that is University Act 2012 as gazetted on 13th December, 2012, I seek a Statement from the Chairperson on the process of appointment and qualification of the following persons, especially at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) and its ten constitute colleges:- (i) University Chancellor."
