    "content": "The Ministry of Health has already held discussions with the officials of the KMPDU to mitigate against the intended strike. The officials issued a Press Statement on 1st August, 2013 to call off the intended strike and have assured the public that they will be available to offer services in all health facilities. Separately, the Ministry has engaged the Treasury and the Transition Authority to provide clarity on the functions and budgets for devolved health services. I beg to table the Statement."
