Lonyangapuo for bringing this important Motion which, ideally, should be expanded to cover all arid and semi-arid areas of this country. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the problem that we have is not lack of policy. The policy is actually there. If you may recall, before Independence, this country was a major producer and exporter of beef and other animal products. In fact, immediately after Independence, the Government of Botswana borrowed from Kenya the establishment of a meat commission from the KMC.
