"content": "Regarding returns on the two Bills received from the Attorney-General, pursuant to the Standing Orders, Standing Order No.125 requires the Attorney-General to present to the President, within 14 days of receipt from the Clerk, every Bill passed by this House. Thereafter, at the expiry of 14 days, the Attorney-General is required to file a return to the Speaker indicating the time and the date that the Bill was presented to the President. The returns received indicate as follows:- 1. The Independent Offices Appointment Bill, 2011 which was passed by the National Assembly on 17th June, 2011 was presented by the Attorney-General to His Excellency, the President for assent and was duly assented to on 29th June, 2011 at 11.00 a.m. 2. The Supreme Court Bill, 2011 which was passed by the National Assembly on 7th June, 2011 was presented by the Attorney-General to His Excellency, the President for assent and was duly assented to on 22nd June, 2011 at 11.40 a.m. 3. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Bill, 2011 which was passed by the National Assembly on 31st May, 2011 was presented by the Attorney-General to His Excellency the President for assent and was duly assented to on 5th July, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. Hon. Members, you are all welcome to continue with the Fourth Session of the Tenth Parliament."
