I think there are times when you are trying to form Select Committees and depending on the circumstances under which that is being done, maybe you have penned a Motion and you just want to make sure that you have a composition for a Select Committee. For example, even when a Motion was moved in this House and you want to form a Select Committee and you are looking for Members in the House, you sometimes reach out to those who you are easily able to access so that you can actually even go through the stage of asking them for permission to join that particular Select Committee. But I think also the circumstances under which we work might make it difficult, especially when you are not able to meet all the hon. Members and give them that information in good time. I think it is unfortunate that this is being interpreted as an issue of having a composition across the board. I would like to believe that, that was not the intention as that Select Committee was being composed and, also, there is an opportunity to amend this Motion. That is why it is on the Floor.
