I make specific reference, for the avoidance of doubt, to Standing Order No.51 (2) which states:- “(1) “At the conclusion of debate, the Speaker shall put the Question. 3. Despite paragraph (2), the Speaker may, on the request of a Senator defer the putting of the question to the following day in which case the Speaker shall thereupon nominate a time at which the question shall be put.” Since you have done that procedurally, I direct that we put the Question on Wednesday next week at 3.00 pm.
