My concern was that as much as we are sending our soldiers to fight outside the country, we should first have them solve our internal problems. When I was the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education, I went to some parts of the Rift Valley and you would go to a police station and you would not tell whether it was a police station, a hut or a house. They looked very dilapidated. So we need to know who is going to occupy those houses. Those police stations are ill-equipped. Offices have no vehicles and cannot fuel their vehicles when they get grounded. These are some of the issues that the Committee headed by the same person who is standing on a point of order should look into and come up with clear-cut policies on how we are going to give service not only in Nairobi, but even in those outposts in the rural areas.
