Temporary Deputy Speaker, looking at the amendments that have been proposed to the Public Finance Management Act, 2010, under Section 17 they want the disbursement to be done within a month. I want to agree with the Senators because according to the law, disbursement is supposed to be done quarterly in advance. I think the Senators have realised that if we give governors this money three months in advance, they might misuse it. Money meant for salaries may not be there by the second month. So, the Senators have done a good thing by proposing that the money should always be given within a month."
