"content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I rise to support the amendment as proposed by hon. Dr. Nyikal, who is my senior colleague in the profession. But when it comes to this issue of disposable plastic syringes, cannulae, catheters, blood bags and infusion sets, when you look at the first schedule, we have exempted the issue of infusions. If we cannot exempt the infusion bag to which the infusions are carried or the blood bag to which we are able to carry the blood, then we will be doing disservice to Kenyans. Most of us will remember that whenever we go to our constituencies, most hon. Members contribute to the medical bills of our constituents. They come to us and ask us that we hold harambee for their sick patients. So, in case we are not able to assist them, we are going to raise the medical bill and it will be beyond reach of most Kenyans.
