"content": "THAT, aware that the Ministry of Education banned holiday extra tuition in all public primary schools; deeply concerned that students in public primary schools are at an disadvantage as compared to students in private schools since the latter have more study hours; noting there is need for teachers to be engaged more in teaching during off hours rather than doing non-educational duties; further noting that the ban can be lifted without negating the free education principle; this House resolves that the Government should lift the ban on holiday tuition on the following conditions:- (i) Extra tuition will not entail covering curriculum but revision. (a) The school management will retain 50 per cent of all fees charged on students, to be used to pay for extra tuition for top ten students every term and orphans.
