I wish to support these amendments and also taking into view that if anyone of us remembers the late 1990s, a lot of banks went under with a lot of deposits and what these people were paid was just a meagre Kshs100,000 regardless of how much money the banks had with them and up to date these people have not yet been repaid whatever was with the banks. So, I think this is something that is very encouraging to Kenyans and it will also give confidence to people to save. I believe when they encourage Kenyans to save, even our own Government will not be forced to go out to borrow money from out there because we will have our own money within our country."
