This is something that our country requires, particularly now that we are devolving to the counties, where everybody claims to have some power. It is something we should have as we look forward to growing into the global economy. We know what deposits do to countries. They help to redistribute wealth and mobilise resources. For example, if the people in Samburu are not able to deposit as much money as the people in Nairobi, people in Samburu can still borrow from Nairobi and develop the economy of that part of the country.
