    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I stand to respond to a request for a Ministerial Statement by Sen. Daniel Dickson Karaba of Kirinyaga County. The Senator rose on the Floor of the House and requested for a statement regarding the construction of Sagana-Kutus-Kiruguya-Karatina, Road C74. The first question is who the contractor was. The contractor is Ms Ross and Company Kenya Limited of P.O Box 1952-10100 Nyeri, Kenya. The second question was when the construction is supposed to commence and to be completed. The answer is that the project commenced on 23rd March, 2012. The time for completion was 24 months and is, therefore, supposed to be completed by 23rd March, 2014. The last question is the amount of money that has been paid by the Government to the contractor to date. The contractor has been paid a total sum of Kshs144,926,880.24 only for works certified."
