"content": "Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Statement sought by Sen. Abdirahman will be responded to by Thursday next week. I believe that he is agreeable to that. MEASURES TO RESOLVE BOUNDARY DISPUTE BETWEEN MERU AND ISIOLO COUNTIES The other statement I would like to respond to – with all due respect, I did not write this Statement and Senators should not say that I am reading AOBs because that will be out of order – was sought by the Senator for Isiolo County. This one is about the measures that the Government has employed to resolve boundary disputes between the Meru and Isiolo counties. In particular, he alleges that on 17th September, 2013, four people were injured and two women raped within the disputed area. I wish to state as follows: The Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) is aware of the boundary dispute between the Meru and Isiolo counties. Further, the County Assembly of Isiolo has requested the Commission to avail information on the contentious boundaries."
