We have a duty that we owe to this country to make sure that we do what we should do, not only as a Senate, but also as leaders of our time. For the last two years, there has been a significant drop, not only in employment, but specifically in the textile industry. Last year, the textile industry declined by 17.6 per cent. In the previous year, it declined by about 15.7 per cent. If this trend continues, then we will completely kill the textile industry. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, finally, there is no greater justice that we can do to the generations that are coming after us. We must make sure that during our time we have done what we should do. One of the steps that we should take is to protect the textile industry in this Republic. In future, we want our children to enjoy, not only protection, but also clothing.
