Deputy Speaker, in fact, the section that has been qouted by the Member reads “the Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing that will deal with transport, roads, public works, construction and maintenance of roads, rails and buildings, air, seaports and housing”. Nothing is said expressly about road safety. As I move this Motion, I urge Members of the Transport, Public Works and Housing Committee to just listen because I will be canvassing before this House that road safety is a matter that goes beyond a single Committee of this House. Road safety is a major priority and many lives are being lost. This is not the work of a single Committee. This Motion is not judgement on the performance of any single Committee of this House."
