Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are going to set a very bad precedent where a committee is formed to usurp the roles of a Departmental Committee that is mandated by this House to address certain issues. The Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing chaired by hon. Maina Kamanda is responsible for all matters pertaining to our transport, including road safety. Why then do we need to form an ad hoc Committee to do exactly what that Committee is doing?"
