    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I beg to support this Motion by hon. Nyamai. Every one of us understands the difficulties one has to go through to acquire these national documents. It is common knowledge that the acquisition of IDs, birth certificates, passports, electors’ cards, driving licences and others has been turned into an industry by corrupt Government officials. It is only in this country that one has to go through motions of struggle to acquire a basic document like a national identity card. I want to believe that in this day and age when technology has advanced considerably, we do not have to go through the motions of lining up and queuing in Government offices to acquire the documents that we need in our life. It is important to make life easy for citizens. That is the work of Government really. The work of any Government worth its salt is to make the work of its citizens as easy as possible."
