    "content": "Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I also want to support this Motion because it is very important. However, I want to bring another aspect of this Motion in order to support farmers across the country. Hon. Serem, a few minutes ago, said that 79 per cent of milk in Kenya is produced in Rift Valley and Central provinces. We know for a fact that 70 per cent of livestock comes from the pastoral areas. The statistics that he has is actually the black hole of statistics of this country where parts of this country or the Kenya that we consider as Kenya is the Kenya covered by the railway line. That has to change. There are farmers in northern Kenya and southern range lands who keep animals but they do not have the support that the other farmers have. The Vision 2030 says that for any development to take place, we need a minimum foundation. We also have the ASAL Policy of 2012.
