    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we are now making a lot of noise in the country about inflation. One of the products whose prices has really risen right now is milk. While I very strongly support that we, indeed, ensure that value is given to our farmers and not middlemen who do not do much other than just packing the processed milk into lorries and transporting it, we need to organize our farmers to form co-operatives that will be supported to run milk processing plants for the market. In other words, we should break the long chain of middlemen and bring the farmers closer to the market. The farmer should be the one fixing the price at Kshs100 and not Kshs27. I think that is the best approach that we can adopt to assist our farmers to get better returns for the good work that they do."
