    "content": "The other issue that was raised by Sen. Wamatangi is whether it is possible to set aside taxes that have been imposed on these boxes. The National Treasury has clarified to the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology that it will not be able to set aside the taxes that are currently imposed on the set top boxes. The FTA set top boxes will therefore remain at the current average price that will range from Kshs5,000 to Kshs7,000 or less depending on the level of competition from the suppliers."
