Already, the SRC told us that they visited 14 counties and as a result of the visit, they have learnt that what they used to think about the work of county assemblies is not what they now know. Therefore, when they go to that re-evaluation process, they are willing to improve the salary to be commensurate with the issues. Reading Article 96 of the Constitution and looking at the bullets that say a Senator does about four things, any auditor from PricewaterhouseCoopers or some lawyer who did not read the Constitution, sitting there reading the four bullets will think that the Senate is a House of elders, that it is a place where you pay us the same as the Lower House.
