"content": "Hon. Speaker, Sir, you will recall that on 15th March, 2013, 11 days after the 4th March Elections there was spontaneous riot by the students of Kenyatta University. Anyone who has passed through a university system in this country and more so a public university will agree with me – this is now the next issue I want to raise. It is not conceivable or practical that a spontaneous riot can be done by students of a university that has got thousands of students, but in the final analysis, those found to have participated in the riot narrowed down to 12 students. It is not possible that only students from one ethnic group were culprits in a university of thousands of students who went on strike spontaneously over an issue that is of concern to everyone.
