    "content": "Hon. Speaker, Sir, I listened keenly to the Statement by the Leader of Majority Party and I was expecting that by any chance, I could hear the petition by hon. Mithika Linturi regarding the issue of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. This is a matter of grave importance to this country because as I speak, all the 47 county assemblies are not transacting any business because of the incompetence of this Commission. This Commission has even gone ahead to tell the public that it based its decision on a report from a consultant, which was delivered to the Commission on 11th March, yet it gazetted the varous salaries and allowances of various State officers on 4th March. Therefore, this Commission has literally misled this country. It is almost fighting devolution. It is affecting the operations of our counties."
