"content": "THAT, clause 37 be amended by inserting the following new paragraphs immediately after paragraph (a)— “(aa) a person who was a member of the Board of Directors of the former Commission shall be deemed to be a member of the Board of the Authority for the unexpired term of that person; (ab) a person who was a member of the Universal Service Advisory Council shall remain a member of the Council for the unexpired term of that person”. Hon. Chairlady, this one deals with the issue of the transition. The Bill talks about the former Commission and we need to allow the former directors to operate until the new Board is formed. It is just a transitional clause."
