    "content": "“In nominating Members to serve on any select Committee, the House Business Committee shall ensure that the membership of each Committee reflects the relative majorities of the seats held by each of the parliamentary parties in the National Assembly and Kenya’s ethnic, geographical, cultural, political, social and economic diversity; and shall give consideration to the need for gender balance.” These issues have all been adequately addressed. The coalition side to which hon. Khalwale belongs, the PNU alliance, was able to make that decision. Therefore, this was clearly not a very difficult decision. That is why I have great honour in recommending the decision of the House Business Committee, which I hope will receive overwhelming approval."
