The Committee, comprising of the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Kenya Red Cross Society and Safaricom, hospital representatives and the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government was formed. Its tasks, among others, were to take care of all the hospital bills, including long term hospitalization using these funds. So far, the Committee has disbursed a total of Kshs10,998,865.60 to the various hospitals. Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir."
