Our understanding in giving financial support was that the money would go to the 70 families unconditionally. The issue being raised by the Chairman that the money should go, on application, to the families, should not be allowed to pass. The money should be taken to the families and if there is a family that does not require the money, they can always return it to the KRCS. If you do not do that, you will be allowing the Fund to be abused. After all, Simani’s children in Tiriki, Khamisi, Vihiga Constituency – Simani was a big man – were returned from South Africa, in fact, on the same day that he died."
