    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I also rise to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare regarding the transfer of health services to the county governments which has been a matter of concern to the members of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board, the Kenya National Union of Nurses and the Kenya Health Professionals Society. In the Statement, I would wish the Chairman to: 1. Confirm whether the Ministry of Health has met the stakeholders in the health sector to discuss the contentious issues of salary, pension and compensation for years of service. 2. Explain how the process of transfer will be managed to ensure the concerned personnel are not disadvantaged when they move to the devolved governments. 3. State whether arrangements can be made for the national Government to handle the payroll of the affected personnel. 4. Explain if the governors are ready to manage the function of health. 5. State how many counties have indicated they can manage the function and how many have requested for it to remain as national function due to lack of capacity."
