    "content": "The Chair of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology is answering this question based on the information obtained from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Given the gravity of this matter, I think you should give us guidance as to whether we should take this matter to another level so that the Cabinet Secretary or the officer in charge of children’s rights in the Department of Education or even the State organ or human rights can be summoned by this House to come and give a full disclosure of efforts that have been made to prevent these abuses because they are widespread or rampant. It is actually an exhibition of complete impunity for the officers involved and it is not the age of the small girls. I am seeking guidance from the Chair as to whether this matter would sufficiently be addressed because hon. Sabina Chege, the very able Chair, has strived to given an answer to the extent to which she has received the information from the State Department.
