Deputy Speaker, the second Statement request is in regard to payment of supervisors and invigilators of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) in Mombasa County. Supervisors and invigilators have not been paid for work done during the 2011 and 2012 KCSE examinations. Therefore, I would like the Chairperson to inquire into and report on the following:- (i) policy measures that the KNEC has put in place with regard to payment and other terms of engagement of staff charged with the responsibility of overseeing the administration of KCSE and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations; and, (ii) give reasons for the delay in the payment of the invigilators and supervisors and state when they will be paid."
