Deputy Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order 44(2)(c), I wish to request a Statement from the Chairpersons of the Committees on Land and Administration and National Security regarding the tension that threatens to turn into widespread violence amongst communities inhabiting Laikipia County. Simmering tension over land and grazing areas threatens to disrupt peace between local communities as well as between local communities and ranchers. There have already been incidents of arson, including the burning of a police post in Tutu area and the burning of Loisaba Lodge in Laikipia North Constituency"
