    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, first I would want to thank the Committee for a job well done. Unfortunately, despite them having sat for 18 sittings and taking views from over ten stakeholders, it appears that they have not really hit it where we need it. This is because the Police Service as we knew it previously came from a colonial structure and when we create a commission, it is supposed to have the participation of the people, but what they appear to be doing is to remove the people’s participation. It is unfortunate because if we remove people’s participation, we are going back to the dark old days. We need to look at our police force for what it is."
