    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance, Commerce and Economic Affairs concerning Government policy on trade in second hand clothes and cotton production. In the Statement I would like the Chairperson of the Committee to address the following:- (i) enumerate the use of cotton wool and seed; (ii) provide a short brief on the history of cotton production in Kenya and indicate why it has been neglected; (iii) state potential areas for cotton production in Kenya; (iv) state whether there is any budgetary provision this financial year for the development of the cotton industry."
