"content": "I am happy that this Bill is now spelling out compensation. Of course, you cannot compensate death but, at least, this is a token for those who lose their lives as a result of wildlife. Those who are injured will get compensated. However, the compensation, in my view, is still low. One million shillings looks like a tidy sum but if you are talking about someone who has lost a sole breadwinner in a family, what is Kshs1 million? For how long will a family feed on Kshs1 million if it has lost someone who was taking care of it? The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
