The amendments that we proposed in the Committee were meant to remove the conflicting sections where duties of the National Police Service Commission and those of the Inspector General, were in conflict. There were even areas where the meetings would have continued without the presence of the Inspector General or his deputies, and we thought that would have raised issues."
