This is because when you consider the text of your amendments, it is a new amendment. If it is a new amendment, your own rules will prohibit you moving it. We will later on consider Standing Order No.133 (2) and then you will see that no amendment shall be moved to any part of the Bill by any Member other than the Member in charge of the Bill, who is the Chairperson of the Committee, unless written notification of the amendment has been given to the Clerk 24 hours before the commencement of the sitting at which that Bill is considered.
