    "content": "However, the Public Investments Committee has extended jurisdiction, this is so because of the provisions of Standing Order No.206(6)(c), which provides that the Committee examines the reports if any of the Auditor-General on the public investments. In addition the Committee is mandated to also examine in the context of the autonomy and efficiency of the public investments, whether the affairs of the public investments are being managed in accordance with sound financial or business principles and prudent commercial practices. The use of the words public investments refers to a state corporation as you find the State Corporations Act Cap. 446(2), and also includes any other corporation, where the Government has made investments."
