Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, clause 30 be amended— (a) in subclause (1), by deleting the words “by the Council”; (b) by deleting subclause (2) and substituting therefor the following subclause— “(2) In selecting persons for appointment as chairperson and members of the Commission, the selection panel shall ensure that equal opportunities are accorded to persons with disability and that not more than two-thirds of the members of the Commission are of the same gender”; (c) in subclause (5), by deleting the expression “section 13(1)” and substituting therefor the expression “section 14(1)”; (d) by deleting subclause (6) and substituting therefor the following subclause- The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
