    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I rise to oppose the amendment. We need to, as much as possible, ensure that any amendment that we bring to this House does not infringe on what is already provided for in the Constitution. We have continued giving too many powers to the IG. We are now increasing the ranks that he can deploy, from number two to number four. What we are doing is actually ensuring that the IG will control the National Police Service and make it a force, which is actually what we are trying to get away from. With those remarks, I beg to oppose vehemently."
