    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I want to inform the House that yesterday and the day before yesterday, we had some very good meetings with the Media Council. We came to some kind of compromise and agreement. This morning, we met the CIC and the Office of the Attorney-General, so that we could look at the amendments proposed by the Committee. Indeed, the CIC termed some of them unconstitutional. That notwithstanding, I realise that we do not have the requisite numbers today. Accordingly, I wish to withdraw these amendments in totality. I hereby withdraw all the Departmental Committee’s amendments."
