    "content": "I oppose this Bill because it seeks to amend the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) in a manner that is going to deny people the right to bail. The right to bail is a fundamental constitutional principle in Article 49. To leave this to the discretion of a magistrate is to take away the fundamental gains made in terms of civil liberties. This particular amendment is prone to abuse and misuse and we do not know how far it will take us."
