    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, hon. Mbau and my other colleagues must understand the fact that Kenya is a multi-lingual State. As a country, we need to build all the necessary mechanisms for effective management of languages. If you look at the Constitution, it talks of “We, the people of Kenya”. The word “We” means all the tribes of Kenya. I totally agree with hon. Khalwale that this Motion, in its essence, contradicts the Constitution. Languages all over the world are a heritage that people are proud of. I am a Muslim and Islamic scriptures are in Arabic. But at no time would I leave my own language. The world that the Almighty God created has so many languages, cultures and tribes. Who are we to come here today and put a ban on a particular vernacular language or languages in public offices?"
