    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I also rise to support this Motion. As the Mover and the other Senators have said, this is a very important Motion. The question of impeachment is one of the fundamental responsibilities of the Senate. We have a responsibility to do what is in the best interest of this nation. It is a fundamental constitutional mandate and in my view, of checks and balances, that this Senate is mandated to undertake impeachment process. Checks and balances are very important in our system of governance. It is in this context that I would urge those Members who have been proposed to sit in this Committee to do what is fair and just. Article 181 of the Constitution is very clear on the grounds on which this impeachment can succeed.
