    "content": "Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I rise to support this Bill. LSK from time immemorial has played a very important role in the administration of justice and the promotion of rule of law. This Bill intends to basically restore order in the profession, it being a noble profession. Of importance in this Bill is Clause 4 that provides for the functions and objects of the society. If you look at Clause 4(f) and (g) where the issue of training has been articulated, training is crucial for the members of the legal profession. But as we look at this, there are issues of concern relating to training and in particular at the Kenya School of Law. The Council, upon the enactment of this Bill, will look at the issues of training at the Kenya School of Law, particularly, the issue of fees. As it is, for those who went to this particular law school some years ago like me, we did not pay so much to achieve that training.
