    "content": "Registrar of Marriages. Although the Bill talks of Director of Marriages, we are proposing that this be amended to read “Registrar of Marriages” instead of “Director of Marriages”. The Committee felt that it was not right for persons to direct people’s marriages. We felt that people should only register marriages. That would be the most appropriate word that could be used. The Bill also provides for registration of marriages and evidence of marriages. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, in Part X, the Bill provides for matrimonial disputes and matrimonial proceedings, and sets out general principles for dealing with matrimonial disputes. This part provides for divorce, under Christian marriages---"
