    "content": "Of course, with regard to the COMESA safeguards measures, I am sure that it is a matter that must be at the heart of many Kenyans because, as hon. Washiali has said, it is a fact that unless Kenya gets an extension, the last extension granted is to expire on 28th February, 2014. Therefore, hon. Injendi, this is, perhaps, a matter in respect of which you need to appear before the Committee, in the presence of the Cabinet Secretary, to see whether there are any indications as to whether there is going to be an extension. As you rightly said, it has far reaching implications to farmers and their children in sugar-cane growing areas. This is a matter that must be of national importance.
