"content": "(a) reviews the conduct in office of the President, the Deputy President and other State officers and initiates the process of removing them from office; and (b) exercises oversight over State organs.” I wanted to say two things. One, no organ of the State exercises oversight over others other than the National Assembly. So, the Judiciary cannot purport to oversee the National Assembly or the Senate. The Executive cannot oversee us. It is the National Assembly that exercises oversight. In the conduct of this matter the second thing I wanted to address is that if you read Article 260 of the Constitution you know judges and magistrates are State officers and remember the Constitution says that we can review their conduct in office and initiate the process of removing them from office. The time has come when we should not be crying about whether we need a vetting board to vet some of these judges. The time has come for us to remind the nation that really we passed a Constitution for good reasons."
