"content": "(Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki): Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I want to start with the final question which has been raised by the Senator for Isiolo County. Yes, the Government is aware of the grave problem that our nation is facing especially with regard to radicalization of our young people. We are witnesses of what happened a few months ago in September. We have just been told and we have seen in the Press just last week, how the police were able to prevent a very serious terrorist attack. So, the Government is aware and is taking these matters seriously. I have outlined nearly 20 measures and strategies that the Government is using to make sure that it deals with this problem. The Government welcomes additional ideas on how to tackle this problem because it is not a problem of the Government, it is a problem facing our nation. I am aware that the President intends, very shortly, to call the nation to a national conference to discuss the issue of insecurity. This is one of the challenges where, really, blame games will not help anybody. When we lose lives, those lives are not lost along political lines. Nobody really gains from these kinds of attacks.
