    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, provision of quality education is a lifelong investment we must continue to extend to our children, if we are to secure the future of our nation. To improve enrolment and transition rate, and equity in access to education, we have allocated Kshs8.25 billion towards the provision of free primary education, Kshs18.5 billion for free day secondary education and Kshs1.67 billion for free school feeding programme, mainly in arid and semi-arid areas. I have also allocated Kshs387.7 million for early childhood development. We are also responding to the rising demand for admission in national, provincial and district schools, and information technology. To this end, we have allocated Kshs750 million for further upgrading of national schools, and a further Kshs680 million for purchase of computers for schools to enhance access to quality learning materials."
